Information - Salisbury High School

Salisbury High School is situated in a pleasant position on the west side of Salisbury. The present school has 850 students of all abilities between the ages of 11 and 19. 113 of those students are in the Sixth Form. In September 2005, the school became an 11-19 school.

The school’s traditional catchment area is West Salisbury, Wilton and Wilton rural area, but parents outside this area may apply for admission to Salisbury High School. At present, a significant number of students have applied from, and been accepted from, outside our designated area.

Salisbury High School serves a large geographical area which includes many different communities, both urban and rural. We firmly believe in the importance of maintaining good links with all of them. Students spend time out in the local community on work and community experience. We also bring a variety of different people into school to contribute to the curriculum ranging from employers and councillors to organisers of voluntary organisations. We have a whole variety of recreational facilities which we encourage the community to use. This includes an extensive sports centre on site with gymnasiums, a sports hall, squash courts and outdoor courts.
